New Assistant Head

Candice Kissinger has been named Assistant Head of the Department of Chemistry and will begin on August 10, 2015.

“Candice was selected from a strong candidate pool, and brings a unique background in academia, science education, and industry to the position,” said Timothy Zwier, M. G. Mellon Distinguished Professor of Chemistry and Department Head.

She has held a range of executive and managerial positions at Bioananalytical Systems Inc., served as Legacy Products Coordinator for the Chao Center in Discovery Park, worked as a technical writer in Discovery Park, and held teaching positions both at the middle school and first-year college level. 

Kissinger has master’s degrees in microbiology and education.

She replaces Robert E. Wild who retired in June 2015.
